CERTIFIED PUBLIC FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR
June 11, 2013 — The City of New Buffalo is pleased to announce that City Treasurer Debbie Lambrix is now a Certified Public Finance Administrator (CPFA) through the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada (APT US&C.) As stated on the APT US&C website: "Attaining the designation of Certified Public Finance Administrator means that an individual is committed to education and experience in his/her chosen profession."
Ms. Lambrix had previously earned Certified Public Funds Investment Manager (CPFIM,) also from the APT US&C. Having the CPFIM accreditation gives the City confidence that our City Treasurer has the knowledge to manage City investments well. City Treasurer Lambrix joined the City on August 13, 2012. The City is thankful to have such a knowledgeable asset – thank you Debbie for your public service to our community.
MICHIGAN CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL TREASURER
April 18, 2013 — Congratulations to City Treasurer Debbie Lambrix for earning the Michigan Certified Professional Treasurer certification from the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association (MMTA.) Ms. Lambrix was one of a dozen other Michigan treasurers to earn this certification in 2013, representing completion of the MMTA three year Basic Institute.

October 16, 2012 — The City Council unanimously supported City Manager Geisler's assignment of City Human Resource Director to City Treasurer Debbie Lambrix. Ms. Lambrix brings years of human resource experience to the City of New Buffalo from working for the City of Flat Rock, Michigan. Ms. Lambrix is also doing bookkeeping work for the City which was previously contracted out, providing an excellent level of service to the City. Thank you, Debbie!
